Apple crumble

Apple crumble or apple crisp recipe is loved by adults and children alike. This is also a fairly healthy dessert recipe.


1kg Apples
60 gm light brown sugar
1 lemon (juice and zest)
1 Tsp Cinnamon powder

For crumble

250gm plain Flour
90 gm Butter
150 gm Brown sugar

Peel and thinly slice the apples. Add cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice and zest. Mix well.

Put these in an oven proof pie dish.

Mix flour, butter and sugar by rubbing it between your fingers, till it resembles like fine bread crumbs.

Spread evenly over the apples.

Bake at 170º C for 35-45 minutes or till the top becomes golden brown and crisp.

Serve hot, with cold custard or whipped cream.
