Pesto Recipe - An Italian Appetizer Recipe


This Pesto Recipe is made from fresh basil leaves. The flavor is absolutely delicious. Pesto is an Italian recipe for a green sauce made from basil.

You can use this on any grilled or baked vegetables, meats, poultry, pizza and pasta. Spread it on your sandwich if you want. Use it as a dip with some other appetizer recipes.

To make this fresh basil pesto all you need is

  • 50 gm Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50 gm Pine nuts
  • 50 gm Fresh Basil leaves
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 4-5 Tbsp Olive oil (extra virgin)

You can alter the quantities according to your usage.

Put all the ingredients except the olive oil, in a food processor. Churn till smooth. Add olive oil gradually, with the blade still turning. With a rubber spatula scrape the sides of the processor and churn again until a smooth paste is formed.

Your homemade pesto is ready.
